"Almost" may not be enough,
But it's still better than "not at all".
It doesn't meet the final test
But shows some effort, however small.
We won't win in every race
Or be the victor in every role,
But as we strive to please our God
He will help us reach our goal.
His perspective always is
To see us have maturity.
As we choose to walk with Him
He becomes our surety.....
That we will know which "race" to choose
And will complete His highest plan.
He will cause us to achieve.....
To finish all that He began.
"Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith...."
