The people sang a sweet refrain.....
A great old hymn from long ago.
The music flowed in beauteous strain.
It warmed my heart and made tears flow.
How sweet the hymns which have been penned
In worship to our Lord and King,
With words which all my cares transcend
And make me want to praise and sing.
Worshipping in hymn and psalm,
Singing words from ages past,
Brings an inner peace and calm,
And stirs up memories which last.
".....Be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another in psalms
and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord....."
