Love And Healing

When a relationship is broken the beginning of healing is birthed in humbling oneself before the Lord and before the other person. The healing may take time, but humility paves the way for it to happen. Humility breaks down walls. It is a cushion in which love can grow and a foundation on which trust can be built.

Humility breaks down “position” and “patterns” and pride. It treads down “all that we thought we knew”. Its cleansing power washes us and gives us a fresh start. This is an atmosphere in which beauty will grow and love can flourish. When humility is in place love will flow and healing becomes complete.

“Love endures long and is patient and kind; love never is envious nor boils over with jealousy, is not boastful or vainglorious, does not display itself haughtily. It is not conceited (arrogant and inflated with pride); it is not rude (unmannerly and does not insist on its own rights or its own way, for it is not self-seeking; it is not touchy or fretful or resentful; it takes no account of the evil done to it (it pays no attention to a suffered wrong).”
