Waiting

Waiting sometimes is “hard work”...
Our patience will upset or irk.
We tend to want things right away,
And waiting causes nerves to fray.

Waiting is a test of trust.
It shows we may need to adjust.
It’s so much better just to pray
When we are facing “time delay”.

Long-term, we must learn to “rest”
As we are waiting for God’s “best”.
When we leave timing in His hands,
Our patience grows and then expands.

The Lord will help us to have peace
As we are waiting for release.
As we wait we grow and learn.
New understanding we will earn.

“The Lord is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him. It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the Lord.”
Lamentations 3:25-26 KJV
