God must need a sense of humor
As He watches us each day,
Tripping, fumbling, getting stuck
As we try to find our way.
Aren't you glad He "picks us up"
And "dusts us off" and smiles
And says, "Okay, let's try again"
When we are having trials?
Aren't you glad He's full of love
And "pats us on the back"?
Even though we may have failed,
His grace is never slack.
When our "feeble" efforts
Are just comic in some way,
Surely He laughs with us,
And He helps us day-to-day.
"Behold what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God..."
