Wisdom happens through the years,
Sometimes with some sweat and tears.
Young folks say, "Try something new."
They haven't yet learned "tried and true".
Experience speaks and says, "Be wise,
So you are not faced with surprise."
Gather wisdom, move with care.
Of quick decisions, pause, beware.
You'll sometimes learn through trial and error
But can avoid mistakes through prayer.
Savor counsel, weigh the "new"
To know if it is right for you.
"Hear counsel, receive instruction, and accept correction that you may be wise in the time to come."
