May candles of warmth burn brightly each day
In hearts filled with love... a beautiful way
To celebrate Christmas and show the true reason
Why we celebrate in this wonderful season.
Giving and sharing with those who have needs
Are beautiful ways to bring joy and “sow seeds”.
Bringing a meal might warm someone’s heart
If their friends and their families may be far apart.
The lonely and hurting may need a soft touch
To brighten their day so they won’t hurt so much.
Some little child might need some new shoes,
A hug or a toy or a game to amuse.
Loving and caring can make this December
A time of much warmth for folks to remember.
If we reach out in this season of love
We’re extending true warmth from the Father above.
“And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. And lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid. And the angel said unto them, ‘Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.’ And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, ‘Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.’ ”
