A new year with a fresh new face,
An open door, a waiting stage...
We may find a bright new path
And in our lives can "turn a page".
What new promise may just wait?
Something fresh we have not seen?
Maybe we should take a step
And break out of an old routine.
It's good to seek a higher plane
Or set a goal to make life better.
And though we stumble here and there,
This year just may become "red-letter"!
"Shew me thy ways, O Lord; teach me thy paths. Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day."
