Men make plans and have agendas,
Laying out their goals until...
God Almighty lifts His voice.
In that day men will be still.
Knees shall bow and hearts give laud
As things of earth shall fade away.
Best-laid plans which meant so much
Just will not matter in that day.
Who can stand before His might
Or utter wisdom in that hour?
Only worship shall be found
Before His majesty and power.
God will rule and God will reign
In righteousness throughout the earth.
Only that which He would speak
Then will matter and have worth.
