How much we need the Lord
To help us know what's right,
To help us be discerning
And for righteousness to fight.
How much we need the Lord
To chart for us a course
Of wisdom, truth and balance
And to be our constant source.
For He will "steer our ship"
Through danger and through toil.
He will guard our "borders"
And our enemies will foil.
He will hear our pleas
If on Him we will rely.
He will be our strength
When to Him our hearts draw nigh.
