A Song
When I'm walking through the valley
And the path is sometimes long,
I yearn to reach the mountain top
And sing a brand new song.
I know I'll find the mountain top
If I just trust in You,
In the valley where I walk today,
I know You'll guide me through.
Then I will climb the mountain
And daily cares transcend.
But I know that I'll not stay there,
For the valley is my friend.
You teach me in the valley
Where on You I must depend.
Though I glory in the mountain top,
The valley is my friend.
