Checkpoints

It’s important to have “checkpoints”
In all we think or say or do,
To write down things we need to work on,
Keep a list and oft review.

We can change our daily patterns
If we pray and think things through.
We may see within ourselves
Some changes which are overdue.

Our list requires good “maintenance”
To keep us from becoming slack.
When we’re diligent in this
We’ll not have fear of “slipping back”.

“And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; and to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; and to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness, charity.”
II Peter 1:5-7 KJV
