Patience comes when we are tested,
Not when we are calm and rested.
Problems sometimes irritate,
So we must learn to trust and wait.
Patience can't be bought or sold,
Quickly learned or time-controlled...
Only when we trust in God
And do not hurry, push or prod.
Patience has a perfect work
To do in us if we don't shirk.
It's end result makes us complete
As over time our trials we meet.
"My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing."
