Our wonderful cat climbed on a soft chair.
She had decided to take a nap there.
She washed her paws to make sure they were clean,
Then rolled onto her back and was very serene.
She stretched out her body in quiet repose,
Expecting to have quite a nice winter's "doze",
When the shade right above her flew up with a "snap",
Making quick end to the kitty cat's nap!
She rose up in the air, three feet off the chair!
She was not prepared for this kind of a scare!
She "flew" out the door on this cold winter's night,
With need to recover from her sudden fright.
Cats need nine lives..... she lost at least two
From this sudden excitement that she had gone through.
When the old roller shade rolled up with a "snap"
It frazzled her nerves and ended her nap!
