Jesus became the light of the world,
A message of hope, as a banner unfurled,
Given to man... God’s ultimate gift...
Of gracious redemption our stained lives to lift.
In Him is mercy. In Him is grace...
God’s wonderful coverings in all that we face.
Jesus became the key to the door
Of heaven’s bright gates and life evermore.
If we will follow, He’ll show us the way,
Will fill us with joy and all fears allay.
Jesus became our path and our light
So we might have futures both holy and bright.
