Pleasant Words

The tongue can often spew out words
Much faster than the brain can think.
And, oh, what chaos issues forth
When mind and tongue are not in sync.

If we make a conscious choice
Only pleasant words to speak,
The tongue must wait upon the mind,
And then it's words will be more meek.

"Measured" words are much more pleasant,
Filled with softness and finesse.
Diplomacy and careful thought
The tongue with kindness will express.

"A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in pictures of silver."
Proverbs 25:11 KJV
