If there be a touch of beauty
Or a thing which has some worth,
It is from the Father's hand.
It is He Who gave it birth.
Anything that we can do
Will only be a simple "gray".
But when we let the Father work
His handiwork He will display!
His touch upon that which we do
Will transform as from night to day.
He paints beauty everywhere
In generous and full array.
"And let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us:
and establish thou the work of our hands upon us;
yea, the work of our hands establish thou it."
