When darkness stands in front of me
I know God will light a lamp.
I need not be fearful,
For His angels all around me camp.
He creates a path for me
And helps me always be sure-footed.
Even when I cannot see
My faith in Him is safely rooted.
When I have anxiety
He helps me to be still and pause.
Remembering His faithfulness,
My heart rejoices with applause.
"For thou wilt light my candle; the Lord my God will enlighten my darkness. Thou has enlarged my steps under me, that my feet did not slip. Therefore will I give thanks unto thee, O Lord, among the heathen, and sing praises unto thy name."
