Twisting Of Words

Words can be twisted to mean anything,
To speak something good or distort it for bad.
Some who are "skilled" may sound very smooth,
But wrapped in their speech are untruths they add.

Words are as "tools" to air one's own thoughts,
But also are measure of what's in the heart.
Without good discernment of what we have heard
We may miss the fact that some words have a "dart".

The "dart" is a lie, or less than the truth.
Clever or flossy, the words may sound right.
Beware of those people who use fancy words,
For sometimes their speech is not "black-and-white".

"These are the things that ye shall do: speak ye every man the truth to his neighbour; execute the judgment of truth and peace in your gates."
Zechariah 8:16 KJV
