Meekness

We can't see clearly if we are not humble,
And when we have pride we err and we "bumble".
Pride will distort and alter our vision,
Causing a warp when we make decision.

Meekness is pure and cannot be muffled.
It rests in deep peace and cannot be ruffled.
Meekness is gentle and sees with precision,
Piercing through issues with unclouded vision.

Meekness is wisdom and measures each word,
Answering gently to all it has heard.
It does not hurry or waver or fret,
But speaks with great care and will ne'er have regret.

"Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud and giveth grace to the humble."
I Peter 5:5 KJV
