If life were as a cup to be filled,
Then we must be careful and learn to be skilled,
To seek out those waters which foster new life
And run from those waters which only cause strife.
The waters of Jesus are sparkling and clear,
Holy and pure and good to revere.
Only His waters will filter out "stain",
Wash away sin and heal us of pain.
Our cups can be full, without tint or hue,
Of crystal-clear waters which change and renew,
A lifestream of power for spirit and soul
To wash us and cleanse us and make our lives whole.
"But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life."
