When someone has a good report
Or brings a word of cheer,
It brightens up the atmosphere
For all who may be near.
Sometimes it isn't easy,
But it really can be done.
To look upon the bright side
Will bring smiles and joy and fun.
So even though you may be down
Choose good words to speak.
Soon you will feel better
And your day won't seem so bleak.
Then those around you will be cheered.
Your joy may be contagious.
And you may help someone who's down
To smile and be courageous.
