Train Up A Child

When we see a precious child
Turn to walk a worthless road,
It's so hard to watch their steps
And see them waste the "seeds" we sowed.

And yet if we have raised them right,
We have promise they'll return,
Give up their folly and frivolous way,
Come back to us and truth discern.

As parents we must trust and pray
When our children go astray
And do not choose to honor God,
But follow their own selfish way.

How much this makes the Father grieve
When our children make wrong choice.
But He is greater than the problem.
In this we truly can rejoice!!!

"Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it."
Proverbs 22:6 NKJ
