Humility opens a much-needed door
To see our own blind spots and much more.
For pride is a barrier which covers much sin
So we do not deal with that deep within.
Humility builds a softness of heart,
Causing the hardness of pride to depart.
The winnowing fork of humility heals
And Godliness and much gentleness reveals.
"Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time."
