When life is moving much too fast
Will your “anchor” hold and last?
Do you have your seat belt on,
Or do you just sit back and yawn?
If our seat belt is in place.
When jarred we don’t fly out through space.
But surely “impact” will be felt,
Should we fail to wear our belt.
We really need to contemplate
How we can safely navigate.
When we’re anchored in the Lord
Safety is our sure reward.
“Therefore put on God’s complete armor, that you may be able to resist
and stand your ground on the evil day (of danger), and having done
all (the crisis demands), to stand (firmly in your place). Stand
therefore - hold your ground - having tightened the belt of
truth around your loins, and having put on the breastplate
of integrity and of moral rectitude and right standing with God.”
