The gentle whispers of the heart
Are heard in God's keen ear.
The softest words deep down inside
To His eye will bring a tear.
When He takes note of a heart
Which turns to Him in prayer,
Tenderly He holds that heart
And gives it loving care.
As the heart draws close to Him
And in His hand will rest,
It will find His rich reward
And truly will be blessed.
