How many times we need to “wait”,
And on our patience this will grate!
We simply want to move ahead,
And then we have to wait instead.
But waiting on the Lord is good.
We’ll do more than we thought we could,
For he facilitates our work,
Protecting us from “threats” that lurk.
God redeems our time for us
And saves us from a lot of fuss.
Wisdom says to wait on Him
And praise Him in the interim.
“The Lord is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul
that seeketh him. It is good that a man should both
hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the Lord.”
Lamentations 3:25-26 KJV
“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not
unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways
acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”
