I'm thinking of our children
As they start a new school year.
What will they be taught
And what values will they hear?
The truth is bent to suit new trends,
Confusing little minds.
Unless we help them sort it out,
They'll learn errors of all kinds.
Their books have been rewritten
To reflect these current trends,
Eliminating moral truth
And leading toward wrong "ends".
Children need good balance
As they learn just how to live.
Parents, teach them wisdom.
Understanding to them give.
"Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it."
